Who’s DudeBro

As you can see, I’ve always kept that thang on me.

Really, since I was a kid I’ve always been into guns. I also have always had a creative streak and loved to draw. Now in adulthood, none of my day jobs really scratched the itch I Had to use that creativity and design/draw. When I decided to start making holsters for reasons I’ll cover below, I really enjoyed the creative design part combined with getting to use my hands to make something. I have to see it first before I can make it, and this is why you’ll see a lot of my digital renderings on the site here. .

What’s DudeBro

DudeBro is not gender specific, nor really anything specific other than not like the other hardOs out there wanting to be Spec Op cosplay. I think that is fine for them, but I am just a normal dude, and just wanted a simple holster, bro. The DudeBro name is my way of both poking fun at some of these people that take themselves way to seriously, and also a reminder to stay loose and be able to laugh at myself. The name sure makes me smile every time. As I continue to roll more products out for sale such as t-shirts/etc, you’ll notice my particular brand of humor inserted into it all. It most certainly is going to be in bad taste for the sake of a joke. Hopefully it makes you grin, if not - I still did, and that’s good enough.

Why DudeBro?

I found myself looking at a box full of expensive holsters. Every one of them in that box because I changed something that required a new holster. I looked at that box, contemplating if one of the high end options I was looking at online would finally be the one that I wouldn’t throw in that box eventually. When I saw wha that total cost was going to be optioned out to my liking, I wondered if that same money could be spent to make my own, and how hard it would be? A few YouTube videos later, and purchases were made and a path was taken.

Anyone looking into doing this yourself, I’d encourage you to give it a try. You can get started fairly cheaply and make a pretty decent product. There are plenty of video tutorials that’ll walk you through step by step. It’s fun, and if you have any questions, feel free to email me, and I’ll happily share any information I have on any of it.
